D is for Discipline A-Z Blogger Madness

Discipline: Not something Joaquin has to impart with Quin very often. He allows her to ask questions and to be afraid, but demands that she gives him everything. All of her fears, and doubts. All of her wishes and dreams.

Joaquin for me isn't like other Doms. He knows Quin has her reservations about submitting and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make her see that she can do it. That she is worthy of everything he gives her and vise versa.

Quin on the other hand fears discipline. Her ex used it as leverage against her. He'd tell her if she couldn't do whatever she was tasked with then she was wasting his time. So, even if she knew what he was doing to her was wrong, she did it anyway. The three basic rules of a BDSM relationship (Safe, Sane and Consensual) went out the window and in so much Quin lost pieces of herself during those sessions with him.

How does a Dom repair that damage? Well, you're just going to have to wait and see.

May 5th is a big day readers! Are you ready?

C is for Collar A-Z Blogger Madness

In All or Nothing, Quin's collar was taken from her in front of the whole club. We've established her ex-Master was an asshole of epic proportions. So, how does a submissive who is licking her wounds, recover and contemplate being collared again?

I wasn't sure if Quin would ever wear another one. She is broken. The collar is a negative visage of her former life. But, it is also part of Joaquin's plan. When he gave her the six week contract, he did so with the hopes of healing a strong woman who had her life ripped from her.

Of course it takes more than simple words.

It takes action.

If you remove the contract and their dynamic all you are left with is two people. How do you gain someone's trust? How do you prove not all people are the same?

Work.

Quin doesn't trust Joaquin overnight. But, he does give her the power to choose. He improves her job because he sees her potential. He sees the woman she once was. He gives her the tools to heal and to try again and once she does...Quin flies.

But the question still remains, will she ever be a collared sub again?

B is for Blindfold A-Z Blogger Madness

B is for blindfold.

When I started working on All or Nothing, I knew in order for Quin to get over her fear, she needed to wear a blindfold. At some point she needed to trust again.

Joaquin knew this and in the very first scene between them, he places the blindfold on her. He wanted to reprogram her way of thinking, especially after Quin's admissions. Of course at the time he didn't know the full extent of the abuse inflicted on her.

Quin's experiences though few and far between, were detrimental to her. The blindfold was used as a tool against her, and for her to overcome her fear she had to face it head on. What I love about Quin is her need to prove to herself and to Joaquin that she can do anything she puts her mind to.

However, while I was writing her and these scenes, I wondered if perhaps she wouldn't fall back into her old ideals. I didn't want her to take everything Joaquin said as gospel. I wanted her to buck the system and ask questions. In their first scene he allows it, albeit he gets pissed off at some of her inquires, but he still let's her ask. Something that would have never happened with her ex.

In the end, it worked out perfectly. She grew from their first scene together. She learned so much about herself. How strong she is as a submissive. How much power she actually wields. She learns that not everyone is like her ex and that Joaquin cares about her well being.

That is the main message of All or Nothing. Learning about your strength and finding your place in the world.

Come back tomorrow for another A-Z blog!

A is for Alternative Lifestyles -- A - Z Blogger Maddness

And apple, Adam, anvil, apostrophe, anagram, ape...well you get the picture.

When I received my second Beyond Fairytale, She Was Good For Nothing, by Hans Christian Andersen, I knew I needed to do something in the realm of BDSM. At first, I wasn't really sure how to approach the subject matter of a sub being abused and then subsequently abandoned by her Master. I feel like even in a "normal" relationship, so many triggers can be touched upon. Everything from simple manipulation, to actual physical pain, with lasting physical and mental reminders.

If you've read any of my stories, specifically my BDSM stories, you'll see my characters have some kind of obstacle to overcome. Whether it is a physical defect from a traumatic experience, war scars, body image issues, or self esteem issues, all of my characters have a mountain to surpass their fears of rejection. In order for them to grow and embrace the "new" them, I have to have a Dominant who can give them what they need. What they crave to become whole.

So, as I pondered Quin's tale, I knew already she would need someone who wouldn't give her an inch. He had to basically stay on her almost 24/7 to remind her, what happened in her past, stayed in her past. Enter Joaquin de la Fuente, owner of Fuente Security and Dom.

He's a no nonsense kind of man who gets what he wants, when he wants it. On the day he meets Quin, he is taken aback by her quick answers and her knowledge of his company. Yet, when he sees her at the club that night, the juxtaposition between this self-assured business woman and this timid wallflower, confuses him.

He knows she is submissive. But, she will neither admit to it or deny it. She later confesses she is out of the lifestyle and will never return. Of course for Joaquin, that reeks of challenge, and he can't back down.

Quin's ultimate experience in an alternative lifestyle hurt her. Her ex destroyed her self confidence, browbeat her, and in the end pushed her away from who she truly is and could've become under his tutelage. The choice to leave was hers and she planned on never returning. Until she met Joaquin.

Joaquin taught her to trust, and let go. He taught her to love and most importantly, never look back. He brought her back to the lifestyle and helped her embrace her submission. Because when it comes right down to it, everyone is worthy, they just have to believe it for themselves.

BLURB:

Quin Abraham had it all. A great job, a nice apartment, and a loving Master—or so she thought. Starting over is never easy, but is flying across the ocean to Spain the right decision to make?

Joaquin de la Fuente never expected to find love the minute the sexy submissive Quin Abraham, walked through his door. On the first day on the job, she tore apart his business model and captured his heart.

After a night at the Villa, Joaquin offers her a contract—six weeks to learn once more what it means to be a sub. No strings attached. However, agreeing to the terms and following through is harder than it seems.

Can Quin overcome her fears and accept Joaquin as her Master or will she be as her ex claims, good for nothing?

EXCERPT:

“So, how did your first day go? Do anything fun?” Harley lounged back on Quin’s bed, her blonde hair fanning out on the pillow.

“If by fun you mean telling your boss his cost efficiency is costing his company more, then sure, it went swimmingly.” When she got nervous, she tended to talk too much. Quin hadn’t been able to stop herself at any point during the tour.

Harley laughed. “So that’s why Charlie and Joaquin were holed up in his office this afternoon? Joaquin was impressed by your candor.”

“Candor?” She snorted. “I told my boss his protocol sucked donkey balls.”

“Oh, come on, it’s not so bad. How about you join us for dinner at the club? I know you’re just settling in, but I’d hate for you to be alone right now.”

Quin stilled and turned to Harley. Maybe she’d heard her friend wrong. Go to the club? Is she crazy? “I think I’ll stay in. Maybe go online to those stores you picked out and find a few pieces for the apartment. Since he gave me an open credit line there.” Her boss had been right. The place was a little empty and way bigger than the one back home.

“Quin.” Harley narrowed her eyes. “You can’t hide in your apartment after work. I won’t allow it.”

“I’m not hiding. I’m tired. I got up at the crack of dawn to be at work. I’m exhausted.” Not a total lie. She’d slept like shit. Her out-of-whack body clock wanted a hot bath and a glass of wine with no interruptions.

Her friend frowned. “Come with us. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, and if you’ve put the lifestyle behind you, then you have nothing to worry about.”

Quin groaned. “Harley it’s not as simple as you’re saying. Everything is complicated. I’m complicated. What if someone approaches me? Just the thought of it makes my stomach sour.”

“Hiding isn’t going to help your situation. You need to get back into the saddle. Find another Master.” Oh how easy she made it sound.

Craving Cameo is here!!

Blurb:
The daughter of the Sentinels pack and MC Alpha, Cameo Cruz moved across country to escape her pack—and the wolf she can never have. Making a new life, she embraced her freedom and went to school. One partying night with her best friend shatters her bubble of safety, and she’s forced to do the one thing she swore she never would…ask for help.

Quade Rainwater lives for his pack and the life the Sentinels Alpha gave him when he took him in. He’d do anything for them, even cut himself off from the she-wolf he’s loved for as long as he’s known her. When all hell breaks loose and someone puts a bounty on his girl, Quade will cross the country to protect her. Unfortunately for him, he’s the last person she wants to see.

All he has to do is keep her safe from the bounty hunters, the locals, and himself….

Excerpt:
“Why? Why are you here?”
“Do you really think I want to be here?” he asked. “Do you think I find it fun leaving my home to drive clear across the fucking country to find you? Huh? I don’t want to be here anymore than you want me here, but your fucking father—” He snarled and began to pace. “He’s losing it where you’re concerned.”
“Well.” She gave a humorless chuckle, turning away from him. “You can tell him I’m perfectly fine.” She wouldn’t give her father or him the benefit of seeing her fear. She’d take care of the other problem on her own.
“Little girl, don’t start.” He laid his hands on her shoulders, and she shrugged them off. “Don’t you know you have a bounty on your head?”
“What?” She whirled around and stared up at him.
“The other night when you called Hui, Xavier also found out about a bounty on your head.” Indifference seemed to coat his unreadable expression and words. “There are more coming. They’ll be here by tonight. We need to leave. If I can get you to your dad—”
“No.”
“Cameo,” he snapped. “This is not a fucking game.”
“You’re right. It’s not a game. I will not forfeit my life for some bounty. I’m staying.” She wouldn’t add he could stay and watch over her.
“Well, you’ve got two choices, sweetheart. Come with me or wait to be picked up by the guys who are out for your bounty.” He didn’t blink. He didn’t get angry, nothing.
“My answer is still no.” Crossing her arms, she arched a brow, daring him to say something to the contrary. She played with fire, knowing full well what might happen if she pushed him too far. Quade was not a wolf used to hearing the word no. His nostrils flared. His body tightened.
“Damn it, Cameo,” he growled, while taking a step toward her. “Why are you being so damn obstinate?”
She blew him off and pushed past him, crossing the room to her small fridge. “I’m sorry if I seem obstinate to you, but this is my life we’re talking about.”
“Is this because I wouldn’t give you the time of day?” Typical wolf. Always thinking with their penis.
“Not hardly.”
“What in the hell do you want from me?”
Want from him? She didn’t want anything from him. She hadn’t even wanted to see him again.
In two strides, he closed the distance between them and dipped his head. “Is this what you want?” He nuzzled her neck and groaned. “Tell me,” he demanded. “Do you want me to drop to my knees and beg for forgiveness? To tell you I’ve wanted you since the moment you turned eighteen?” His lips were only inches from her ear. His warm breath brushed against the shell, causing her to shiver. “You ran away from me.”
“Ran away from you? I left home so I could get an education and be someone better than a thug.” She grimaced inwardly when he flinched and withdrew from her. Quade wasn’t a thug, neither was her father.
“So, I’m a thug now?” He shook his head while clenching his fists at his sides. “Are you saying when you were on pack lands you thought so low of me…of your father and our friends?”
“Now you’re twisting my words.”
“Am I? Didn’t you say you left home so you didn’t become one, meaning we, the members of your pack, are thugs?” He cocked a brow, daring her to say something else stupid. Insert foot in mouth, dummy.
“Look, I didn’t storm into your home and pick a fight with you. So…so why don’t you leave?” Brilliant! Way to go you.
A dark sinful chuckle passed his lips as he pulled her to him, engulfing her in his embrace. “You never did know when to shut up.”
His lips slammed down on hers in a brutal kiss. He tasted of danger and excitement. Of raw masculine power. Cameo’s wolf preened, desperate to rub all over him and submit to his dominance. He swiped his tongue across hers, and she became a puddle of goo. “Would you like to know where my mark will go when I mate you?”
