Forsaken Realms ~ Bounty Hunters United by Katalina Leon

It’s not professional to mate with your alien bounty.

Blurb:

On The Run, Bounty Hunters.

“Retrieval specialist” is a fancy term for high-level corporate bounty hunting and Agent Gemmina Nayar is the best in her league. She’s a sense-enhanced, level-seven bounty hunter from New Mumbai who receives an exclusive invitation to track a dangerous criminal on private property. She arrives on the tropical planetoid eager to hunt and release her inner tigress, but is disappointed to discover the bounty has already been captured.

Syan is a Kironian, an off-limits alien race. He’s gorgeous, rugged and all male. Even sedated and forced to wear an electronic silence collar, he resembles a coppery skinned refugee from Mount Olympus. Gemmina’s unaware Kironian saliva is loaded with pheromones that can turn even the most indifferent woman into a willing mate. A single kiss or bite is sabotage.

When the mission turns lethal, she realizes she’s not only been tricked into bringing the wrong man to justice, but the harsh jungle below is a calculated trap.

Excerpt:

Four guards wearing head-to-toe body armor and face shields, and carrying ionized bang sticks with the tips glowing hot, marched toward her, dragging a semi-conscious man between them. The captive was slumped forward with head hanging and a tousle of dark, wavy hair concealing his face. His splayed legs hung limp, and the toes of his heavy boots dug deep furrows into the beach. The current sedation seemed to be effective.
A guard stepped forward. “Open the skimmer’s bay wider. This is a big guy.”
Gemmina carefully lifted her feet and dared to take a shaky step or two across the rolling glass-bead beach.
“Hold on. Let me have a look at him before I take custody.”
She removed a handheld scanner from a hip pocket, activated it, and waved it over the inert captive.
“I’m looking for possible broken bones, signs of abuse, bruising, internal injuries, slow- acting poisons, et cetera.... In short, anything that I don’t want to be held legally responsible for. I’m making a complete virtual record of his physical condition at the time he was taken into my custody.”
She scanned the man’s powerful limbs. Syan wore a snug, black pressure suit made of stretchy fabric that emphasized the curved sweep of thick biceps and broad thighs. The man was built. Best guess was he’d be at least a head and a half taller than she was. He appeared to be pure muscle and was likely at least twice her weight. Without a doubt, he was going to be a challenge to transport, and she wished she had a bigger ship with a secure gravity-plus chamber to lock him inside.
The guard who had removed his face shield appeared concerned. “Is everything all right?”
“Aside from mild dehydration, so far everything’s fine, but don’t rush me. Taking a virtual report is serious business. If a judge ever discovered that I let it slide before I—”
The guard interrupted. “No one’s rushing you! Take your time.” Then he made the spinning fingers motion, which was the universal sign for hurry-up.
With a gentle touch, she explored the top of Syan’s head. His hair was unlike that of any species she’d ever seen. It was dense, and the glossy locks that hung to his chin were such a deep black they shimmered with a purple iridescence reminiscent of a raven’s feather. Fascinated, she rubbed a few strands between her fingertips. Kironian hair was gorgeous and felt like silk. Touching it was mesmerizing.
The guard frowned. “What are you looking at? Is something wrong?”
“I’m examining him. I’ve never seen a Kironian before.” She knelt to Syan’s level, brushed his long hair aside, and cautiously lifted his chin. Her breath caught. He was stunning with heavy, black brows and rugged features paired with flawless, coppery skin. He looked like a refugee from Mount Olympus now collared and bound. He was too damn perfect in a provocative way.
Syan opened his eyes, which were ringed with lush, black lashes. Just that one movement appeared to tax him, and the first moments his attention seemed to drift before coming into focus, but, when it did, his gaze was laser-sharp. Without blinking he looked directly at her. He had large, commanding black eyes with the slightest violet sheen. The intensity of a bird of prey shone in their depths.
His gaze narrowed and for a moment she imagined he was attempting to speak to her, in code or through looks. A weird sense of telepathic connection lingered. Suddenly a rush of jumbled images raced through her mind. The images were disturbing and violent, and churned unsettling emotions. He opened his mouth as if he were silently screaming, wriggled one arm free of the guards and lunged toward her throat with teeth bared.
“Whoa!” Gemmina leaped backward, toppled, and crawled away on her elbows like a crab until she sank into the beach sand. “Holy crap! What was that about? This man’s not sedated!”
The guards surrounded Syan and delivered a crackling volley of stunning bursts from their blast sticks until their captive shuddered, fell, and lay limp on the ground with a trickle of blood running from his bitten lip.
“That’s enough!” she shouted…”

Kotori's Sacrifice

Blurb:

A Dominant who just couldn’t let go…

As an experienced Dom, Seba Havas, specializes in helping traumatized submissives find the release they need. He knows when a firm hand is needed or a gentle touch will work better, but nothing in his nearly fifteen years in the scene prepares him for Akira. Like a whirlwind, she turns his orderly life upside down with her refusal to submit. Still reeling from his failure with her six months later, he turns to 1Night Stand. Madame Eve’s suggestion?  A trip to the Carnivore Club, the brand new BDSM themed Las Vegas Strip resort on a date to an elegant masquerade ball with a beautiful submissive.

A submissive who’s willing to sacrifice it all…

As the oldest daughter of the Ito clan, Akira has been responsible and self-controlled her entire life, up to the point it has caused her to lose the dominant she loves. Now she has one chance left to prove to Seba she can be what he needs. In true Vegas fashion, and with a little help from Madame Eve, she’s going to gamble it all on one night of dominance and submission. But will it be enough?

Excerpt:

Akira stared in the mirror. With the white lacy maid’s cap over the magenta-red hair she now sported, and a formfitting black dress with a full-length ivory apron, nothing remained of the Akira Ito she knew. Paired with the thick, opaque glasses perched on her button nose, she looked like she’d walked out of the Phantomhive household. Fiddling with the long apron strings around her waist, she tried to calm her anxious nerves. Lord knew what would happen when she met up with Seba. Like her character, Mey-rin, she would flush beet red at the mere sight of him.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” She reached under her skirt to tuck the fake pistols in the holsters she’d strapped to each thigh. “Never in a million years would I have dressed up like the bumbling love interest of the most kick-ass butler in the manga world.” Stepping back, she gave herself a critical eye. Not the sexiest costume imaginable, but with its well-fitted bodice and waist-cinching snowy apron, she might be able to tempt her former Dom while still hiding her identity from Seba.
Straightening her ivory cuffs and fluffing the apron’s bow, she almost jumped when her cell phone buzzed. Half expecting it to be Venus, she flipped open her phone. Instead, the text came from Madame Eve.
Remember child, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Show him you can be what he needs – Madame Eve
She drew a deep breath. Funny, how much the mystical Madame Eve reminded her of Venus.
“Speaking of Venus, I’ll never hear the end of it if I don’t send her the picture I promised.” It took less than thirty seconds to snap a selfie and send it her friend. Then she grabbed her invitation and let herself out of her room. As she rode the elevator downstairs, she glanced at her watch. She didn’t want to be late and give Seba a reason to punish her.
Although he’ll probably be the one running behind. Venus swears he’ll be late to his own funeral.
In the lobby, she pushed through a crowd of people dressed up in a variety of outlandish costumes. She saw everything from Nathan Fillion look-alikes to Elfin lords and warrior princesses. Evidently, she’d been wrong to assume a manga conference or even Comic-Con had overtaken the hotel. It looked more like a sci-fi convention. When two storm troopers and Spock walked by, she shook her head.
I’m supposed to find Seba in this mess?

Wolf's Song by Taryn Kincaid

WOLF’S SONG
A Black Hills Wolves story
By Taryn Kincaid

BLURB:

Ten years ago, visions of death and the babble of lupine voices in his head, drove lone wolf Brick Northridge to challenge his cruel and greedy pack alpha. Beaten by the alpha’s thugs and banished from the pack, Brick lives a life of seclusion in a mountain cabin in the Black Hills.

Born into a rival clan of feline shifters, skinwalker Summer McCoy, in her guise as a raven, watches Brick from afar, giving him back a reason to live through her sweet songs and special gifts.

But when her clan attempts to tear them apart and threatens the pack that banished Brick so many years before, will their love be strong enough to withstand the forces bent on their destruction?

EXCERPT:

She did not move, except to lower her raised arm from its frozen position. “Why do you call me that…? Annabel Lee?”

“I don’t have another name.”

“Summer,” she said. “I’m Summer.”

Yeah. Def. When the berries plumped sweetest. “Suits you.” His raging arousal made the words hoarse and jagged. Too harsh for this gentle female. “Turn,” he murmured. “I want to see your face.” A low growl escaped him before he could bite it back. “Your breasts.”
She turned then, slowly through the water, rounding to face him.

He sucked in his breath, his heart slamming against his chest. She was stunning and glorious. The beads of water rolling down her golden body sparkled in the sun. She glistened. All natural. No makeup. No artifice. Everything a female should be. And more. Much more.

Another pheromone cloud engulfed him. Her eyes went large and rounded, as if she guessed she’d zapped him with her hormonal lures, but couldn’t help emitting her sex juice any more than he could. Her nose twitched and she sighed, as if enveloped in a vat of melted chocolate, or whatever the fuck his own mating scent smelled like. He could only hope he gave off an aroma as rich and delicious as she did.

He struggled to control the raw savagery of his attraction and had to tear his eyes from her face. But her breasts…God, her breasts. Full and high, the exact size to fill his large hands, rose tips jutting toward him. He remembered how she’d touched herself, how much he’d wanted to replace her hands with his. Hell. He wanted to bury his face between those breasts, lapping at her, licking and sucking, take each one into his mouth, between his lips, grazing the pointed nipples with his teeth until he tore moans of delight from her.

His throat closed, his tongue swelling, filling his suddenly dry mouth, cutting off his ability to utter either animal sounds or inane words. After a beat or two of silence, she glanced away.

“What do you think?” Not shy exactly. Expectant. An undercurrent of doubt laced her question, as if she could not bear to disappoint him, and did not know what to make of his continued speechlessness.

“Perfect.” He rubbed his eyes. “Ah, Christ. You’re perfect.”

“No, I’m not.”

“You are to me.”
