So, why do we do it? Why take a perfectly good fairytale we adored as kids and turn it into something hot and sex for adults? Why not?

So far I have loved everyone's retelling of all the classics and some new ones I've never heard of before. I think it gives us a chance to explore the story's world and expand it. With Saving Their Princess, there were so many stories to be told off of one Grimm fairytale, it was hard for me to pick one idea.

The Three Black Princesses is a pretty dark tale of betrayal, kidnapping and greed. It's about learning trust--who to and not to believe in. The main character in the Grimm tale, learns it almost too late when the castle he found crumbles down on him after he took the word of his mother over the princesses who saved his life.

So, how did I modernize it? Well, I made it about Sabine, the daughter to the mayor of New Orleans. I had her believe her father would never sell her. I made the bad guy a known drug/mob boss and threw in two sexy detectives trying to squash the Master's criminal ring.

Is the girl saved? Do the detectives figure out in time who is behind her kidnapping? You'll just have to pick up a copy of the Blue Box set of Beyond Fairytales.

In the next two weeks, you will find posts from the authors behind the Beyond Fairytales series. We have spaceships, cowboys, owls, princesses, princes, and geese. If you like M/F, M/M, F/F, or ménage, you’ll find at least one of each. Each one is unique and indescribably naughty.

If you’ve gobbled up all of the collections already, be sure to check out the Beyond Fairytales blog for new releases and additional books.

Tomorrow Shiloh Saddler and Alexa Bourne are on tap. You can see their posts at:

  1. I'm looking forward to reading Saving Their Princess, although I've never been there, I love reading books that take place in New Orleans. This whole fairy tale blog hop is so much fun, I have all the collections and only wish I could read them all at once :D
It's a great way to find new authors, I always find myself buying more books from each author as soon as I get to the end of each story.

    1. New Orleans is on my bucket list of places to see. I've always wanted to write a story done there and this seemed like the perfectly good opportunity to do so. I am so happy you love all of our retellings of these classics. I know I thoroughly enjoy writing in the series.

Thank you for stopping by today!
